This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit buyerexperience.io or use our revenue recovery platform and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Information you provide directly:
- Account registration details (name, email, company, job title)
- Billing and payment information
- Communications with our team (support requests, demo inquiries, feedback)
- Survey and interview responses submitted through the platform
Information collected automatically:

- Device information (hardware model, operating system)

- Usage data related to your interactions with the Services
Information from third-party integrations:
When you connect BuyerExperience to third-party platforms, we may receive data from those integrations, including:
- CRM data from platforms such as Salesforce (deal records, contact information, opportunity data)
- Call and meeting data from platforms such as Gong (recordings, transcripts, metadata)
- Contact and enrichment data from platforms such as Clay
- Messaging data from platforms such as Slack
We process third-party integration data solely to provide the Services and in accordance with your instructions.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services
- Process transactions and send related communications
- Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Communicate about product updates, features, and events (with your consent where required)
- Analyze usage patterns to improve platform performance
- Comply with legal obligations
- Enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud or security incidents
We do not sell your personal information or use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Enterprise Data Processing
For enterprise customers, the processing of personal data submitted to the Services is governed by BuyerExperience’s Data Processing Agreement (DPA). The DPA addresses data controller and processor responsibilities, sub-processor disclosures, data retention, and deletion obligations. To request a DPA, contact brian@buyerexperience.io.

Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, understand usage patterns, and improve user experience. You may control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
We do not use your data for cross-site advertising or sell data to advertising networks.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Upon account termination, we will delete or anonymize your data within a commercially reasonable timeframe, subject to our DPA terms for enterprise customers.
Data Security
BuyerExperience implements industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. We are SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails

EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, BuyerExperience processes your personal data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests, and consent where required. For enterprise customers, data processing is governed by our DPA, which includes Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

International Data Transfers
The Services are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by notifying you via email or an in-product notice. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
